Small world, I met an Active Rain Member today!

This morning I was at a class to learn about the Georgia Dream home ownership program.  It is a great program that helps with 0% interest down payment assistance.  After the class, I was approached by someone who said to me, Hey, I've been following you on Twitter and I've been reading your Blog on Active Rain too.  Well, this was quite a surprise and might have freaked me out a little if I had tweeted that I was on my way to the class this morning.  But, I hadn't.  Andre Allen, is a real estate agent here in the Atlanta area, like me and on the Active Rain network.  Now, I'll be waiting for him to write something. Hint, hint, Andre.  Anyway, I thought that was pretty cool.  Small world, isn't it?

By the way, I will be posting info about the Georgia Dream program soon.  Feel free to contact me with any questions about it.

Jen, it's great you met a fellow (and local) Active Rainer. I have met a handful in person and they are ALWAYS the nicest of people.

Jen,

How funny...and how very true, IT IS A VERY SMALL WORLD...I was at a Central Florida theme park when suddenly a woman grabs me in a bear hug...IT WAS MY CHILDHOOD CLASSMATE FROM MICHIGAN!!! It was simply amazing seeing her after so many years...and so far away! She ended up marrying the class nerd (turns out he became a multi-millionare!) When I saw him, he'd gotten rid of his glasses, the buck teeth, and "buffed up"! NICE! lol

Jen, I can see how that would have been a bit shocking...isn't it funny how you can know someone, before you really have even met them...oh the power of internet.

Rebecca, That is totally how my class reunion was.  Nerds were now hot, and the jocks were NOT.

It is a small world.  The other day I was at an investment function and I saw a table for Turn Key Properties which is one of the larger Kansas City Rainers.

Jen that is cool you got to meet someone from AR. I just had the same experience myself while dropping off a Purchase and Sale Agreement. Both of the agents who greeted me at the front desk asked me if I was Bill Gassett from AR. I started to laugh. I actually recognized them both too:)

Jen - I have met a few rainers myself but by arrangement when we were in thier town so far not by chance ... the more we are out there the greater the odds we will meet fellow rainers. What I find amazing is they are the type of people they appear to be on activ/rain.

It is a small world. I look forward to meeting some of the people I have met here at Active Rain who are nearby.
