Decatur Green Fest- Decatur GA

The Decatur Green Fest is Saturday May 2, 2009.  It's from 3 pm to 9:30 p.m at Decatur Square in Decatur, GA. It's a free event to raise environmental awareness. Children's activities include a rain barrel workshop. There will be more than 40 green vendors and green organizations presenting products and information.  The artist market includes artists who work in recycled materials.  Come wander around, check things out and enjoy the live music. There will be local and organic produce and food from Ted's Montana Grill, K-Chocolat, Java Monkey Organic Coffee and Wine Bar, Equal Exchange fair-trade coffee and teas, and Bionade organic beverages. Wine and beer will be available from Bonterra Vineyards and Terrapin Beer.
The first of the May concert series begins at 7 pm at the Gazebo on the Square.  Bring your picnic coolers, blankets and lawn chairs for that.

Hi George, We got there shortly before it started to pour rain, so I didn't get to see what the workshop was all about it. The ones I know about are where they teach you how to make a rain barrel. We did see some rainbarrels decorated by children, that may have been the children's workshop.
