I was working on some real estate marketing stuff tonight when my friend called and told me that I was on TV. Back in the Fall of 2006 and the early Winter of 2007 we filmed a show called My First Place, a real estate show for first time home buyers. Our episode has been running on HGTV for the past couple of years. It will be on again tomorrow.
My friend said this is a different show, did you know about it? Well, HGTV premiered a new show tonight at 8 pm called Buying and Selling: 20 Best Kept Secrets. This was a good secret, because I didn't even know about it! I flipped my TV on, and saw my business partner Tracy and I in scenes from My First Place.
I guess it's like things we post on the internet, apparently if you do TV it stays out there forever too.
Here's the link to the show 20 Best Kept Secrets. This is the show schedule for our episode of My First Place.

Great stuff! Congratulations, Jen!
Congratulations Jen! That is really cool to see yourself on national television. Should I get your autograph or propose to you now before you get famous?
I'll be watching!!!!
What's it like to be famous, in a good way? Congratulations.
Big Congratulations to you! Not everyone gets to have a spot on HGTV!
That's great, I was watching that tonight and was keeping an eye out for anyone on AR. Congrats!!
Big Congratulations ... having your own show is like a repeat reference for your services
Hi Jen ~ That is too cool! Funny - I saw it on the channel guide when I was clicking by - wish I had stopped at it. I'll watch out for it.
Liz
Thanks Bob!
Robert, LOL autographs are fine. Too late for the proposal, my husband beat you to it! :)
Thanks Kat!
Wayne, Thanks! it still surprises me when I run into someone I haven't seen in years and they say hey, I saw you on TV.
Thanks Naoma, it was a lot of long days and late night filming.
Thanks Craig, I only caught the last 20 minutes of it. Now I've got to stay up late for the rerun at midnight so I can catch the whole thing.
Eric, thanks, I guess that's true. I hadn't really thought about it that way.
Liz, I usually have HGTV or Court TV on in the background. Thankfully I never have to watch out for myself on Court TV!
Congrats.... It is a bit fun to be on TV. I did "What can you buy for $500,000", except I was a bit shy and did not tell many as I did not know how I would appear on TV. It actually turned out pretty good as the two other agents made me look good. Keep a recording of it so when you are down, you can see that you do have it together. Way to go.... No one came knocking at my door because of it, but it was still fun anyhow.
Cheers......
JEN...How exciting...It is so much fun to do a TV Show...I did one a few years back for Home Team..
